I read in a couple of posts that a Calling Group set to Group Ring will not overflow to the Auto Attendant. Is there a way to work around this. I curently have a DID adjunct set up and all of the phones that I want to ring set to primary cover this adjunct. The Adjuct is also assigned to the auto attendant. This works except I have hit the limit as the number of phones that can cover (10 phones) also I have a wierd issue were sometimes a call will go stright to the AA and not ring. Can't seem to find a pattern as to why sometimes during the day it go to the AA and then the next call will ring all the memebers.

I tried creating a group with the adjuct extention, not placing any members in the group, seting the queue to a group that was a group ring and then over flowing to voicemail but aa never picks up. Anyone found a way to get group ring and aa.

I have set up something in the past, but I didn't use anything like you have, and I was able to have up to 16 phones cover the extension that was the D-I-D.

First off, the limit is 8 covering extensions, not 10, unless you have something new to me.

The way I found a solution was that I had an extension that answered it's D-I-D calls which had SHARED SYSTEM ACCESS buttons on all sets that needed to "COVER" it. That limit is 16.

I see no reason why that wouldn't also work with an ADJUNCT.

There may be a need to have a COVER button for it somewhere, but I would try it with just the SSA buttons.

You can use a "looparound" with group ring to ring up to 19 phones and one "looparound" trunk that is covered by the AA. You would need an available single-line analog port (016 T/R module) and a spare CO line port. Make an 016 T/R port extension a member of your "group ring" group and run a jack from that port to an available line port. Create an additional overflow group to voicemail covering that "looparound" line port with say a 20 second delay - and create an AA voicemail box for that overflow group ext or just a regular mailbox.
