Hi,

I am trying to configure MAC Security on Nortel switches, 470, 5510, 5520, using the following commands:

*** Global Configuration ***
Conf t
mac-security enable
mac-security intrusion-detect enable
mac-security intrusion-timer 0
mac-security snmp-trap enable
mac-security auto-learning aging-time 0
exit
*** Interface Configuration ***
conf t
int fastEthernet #
mac-security enable
mac-security auto-learning port # enable
mac-security auto-learning port # max-addrs 1
exit

When I tested it, some ports were working great on 470. When I unplugged a connection from NIC 1 off the PC, the entry on "Show mac-sec mac-add" stayed. When I plugged from NIC 2 off the PC, the port got disable, just as I expected.

The problem is, some ports are not working. When I unplug from that port, the entry of "Show mac-sec mac-add" disappears. So when I plug back in from another NIC, it will learn that NIC MAC address again. This is 470.

For 5510, 5520, not working at all. The same symptom.

Hope I can get some help from anyone who has experienced this before. Thank you very much!

GG
