Does any one know what year or release that Nortel did away with the external power supply for the M5316 Meridian Centrex phone?

i dont know abt this model ...
but for a centrex phone you dont need local powersupply ... unless there is a need for spk phone/ cordless

I have not seen any M5316 version that can do away with external power supply. That power supply is used to power up the LCD screen.

I did some M5316 installation a month ago, and recieve the new sets from Aastra. It still comes with power supply.
