Hello,

I've seen posts about retrieving NAv passwords for AVG. I however need the password for Nav for Microsoft Exchange.

Symantec says to re-install it, but I'm not up for that much work if it can be avoided.

when you click the internal website that nav for exchange creates for you, it takes you to port 8081 website that then prompts you for a username and password.....

I've tried just about every service and admin acount that's in the directory with no results....

I'm lost.. pls help.

jaz

What version are you running?

Logon locally to the Exchange server and then open the console from there. It only asks for usename/password when you try to connect remotely.

Thank you so much for answering.

version is Norton Antivirus 2.5 for exchange.

I'm unclear as to your suggestions:

logon locally to the exchang eserver and open the console from there - I do not understand this, there is no console to open that I'm aware of, it's a web based UI.

I welcome your further suggestions,

While it may be web based, the launch icon will be on your Exchange server. If you can logon to your Exchange server, then you'll have access to the icon to launch the page for the Antivirus software.

thank you for your help, however even on the exchange server it is still asking for login information for the web admin.

I racked my brain and remembered some really ancient passwords and one worked. I'm now able to get back in. Large pain in the ass though.
