I want to present a long excel-list in a powerpoint presentation.
Is it possible to create a scrollable list in one sheet ?

By the way I'm using office 2007

Thanks in advance.

You could always embed the XLS as an object and then open the XLS during the presentation.
A PPT is not meant to contain loads upon loads of text.
You don't want your listeners to fall asleep now, do you?

That would be oke.
If I can open the excel sheet to (quickly) show the list, that's OK for me.
I've already inserted an excel file as an object but this only opens the excel-sheet in the design mode not in the presentation (Show-)mode....

Should this also open excel in the show mode ?

You can embed a spreadsheet from office web components (in older office versions: control toolbox, ... more controls option).
In pp design mode right-click it to edit it (it is possible to paste data) or acces other options.
In pp slide show click it to scroll.
Data is saved with presentation.

What exactly should I do in office 2007 version ?

In reference to my post above - find, how you can add activex control to the slide (and add Microsoft Office Spreadsheet). Next steps as above:
- edit spreadsheet,
- paste data,
- customise (toolbar, sheets, data...).

combo

I already added a spreadsheet as an activeX controle to the presentation like you suggest (insert-object- MS spreadsheet etc.).
But in the presentation (slide-show) I'm not able to scroll through the sheet.
Clicking on the sheet in the show results in the next sheet, not in opening the sheet in the edit-mode where I can scroll through the list.
This is only possible in the design mode.

Maybe someone can give me an example presentation showing me that it is possible what I want ?

I'm not working in office 2007, so I can't guide you in the interface navigation.
But:
What precisely you inserted, MS excel worksheet (in earlier verions available via Insert>Object) or Microsoft Office Spreadsheet 12.0 (guess it's 2007 version, it's a component in Office Web Components pack, available as control)?
By default, embedded excel is displayed as pure grid, OWC spreadsheet has a toolbar in the top.

I don't know the use of "Office Web Components" and I can't find it.
Also the help function doesn't know the option.
Where can I find information about it?

Actually, with office 2007 MS stopped adding OWC. The latest version (11) can be downloaded from here and separately installed.
You can try other solutions: open embedded spreadsheet, as makeItSo suggested (set object's action to 'open') or divide table into parts and mimic page changing by moving to next/previous slide in custom show.
