We bought an ATA2 so we can fax out our BCM using our T1 line. Is there any way we can just dial the number instead of dialing 8 before it. Example: 16214234567 instead of 816214234567? Thanks

You can setup a destination code using 1A but you have to make sure that the park code is changed

When i set the destination code to 1A i get an error. How do i change the park code. I'm sorry im new to this system. I just want to use line 144 as pool c and then dial out on that line without pressing 8 or anything. Thanks

Park code is under system programming -> dialing plan -> access codes. Your not able to use just one line to dial out over PRI, you have to use a destination code associated with a route.

You can set the ATA programming to Hotline External and program the 8 to be dialed automatically and then the fax will go straight out. The only thing is that you may have to program your fax not to look for dialtone as it will not have dialtone when you come off hook.

When i use the hotline this is what happens. I put External, Use Pool B, and External #8. When i dial the number i get it as dialing 8816218601421 instead of just 816418601421. How is this corrected?

Is Line 144 used by or for anything else other then the Fax machine. I fLine is only used for the Fax, then just connect the Telco line from the Demarc to the Fax machine without going though the BCM and then you will be able to dial 16214234567. Oh and thak the ATA off.
