I have a user who is stuck in "local mode" I checked the BUID, the MOTN,and they matched. I also checked key 0 and key 1 and they also match. Was wondering if there was something I'm overlooking. Oh the TN and the IP addresses are ok when I press the four keys on the bottom of the screen. What is that procedure called? Keep in mind I'm learning as I go so its hard for me to create troubleshooting scenario's and such for myself to learn by. Is there some "cheat sheet" available? Something?
Any help is appreciated, I can print the set out on both ends if required

I'm assuming your option 11 has been converted to a branch office and that there is a signalling server at the 81 site, and that the 81 is running at least release 3.0, and that you have H.323 virtual trunk licenses on the 81 (or access ports, depending on which release you're on). Is the 11/Branch Office registered with the gatekeeper/NRS? Can you call between sites?

Any set thats stuck in local mode is most likely not due to the programming of the set, but rather the configuration of the gatekeepers/NRS devices at both ends.

Yes you are correct We can call beween sites but his user can only be called internally not from anywhere else.

But, is the one of the sites a CS1000B (Branch Office)? Local mode is a term used for SRG or Branch Office.

biv343 is right. In your NRS, you may see the BO/SRG site registered. If you was upgrading your main office to new release, did you check NRS configuration ?

Local mode mean that your IP phone is registered on your BO/SRG and not able to registered on the MO. So no calls are possible unless rerouting through PSTN is configured.

Give us an idea of how your network is, and what's happening between the time your phone was OK and now...
