First, understand that I have been on IBM's site, looked at the papers, worked with IBM support for hours, and researched this problem. I am Solaris and AIX certified and do not need links to papers, commands, or man pages.

I have a two node cluster (which should not come into play) with 4mm tape drives on each node and a 7337 tape library with two tape drives in it. I want to substitute the default scsi driver with the Atape driver so that I can use the tapeutil commands. However, even after rmdev -dl on the drives and then cfgmgr I cannot get the drives to pick up the Atape drivers. How can I force the drives to use the new driver. Thanks for looking at this.

This is a good one. How can you tell the drives are NOT using the Atape driver ?

Bill.

I think you must to change the driver to use on the CuDv ODM class after installing the driver.
I hope it works...
Unix was made by and for smart people.
