Listing current processes

Hi,

I have a Sun Cobalt RAQ4 running Cobalt Linux and it requires a rebooting a couple of times per day due to CPU load. When the CPU load is high I want to be able to see what is causing this and why so I can think about resolving the issue. Can anyone tell me how to get a list of processes and how much CPU usage they are consuming?

you have to use `top' command

and `P'(not `p') key will do a sort by CPU ussage.
also with `s' key you can set the `Delay between updates`
