Please bear with me, I have only a shallow grounding in IP Office and am being thrown in at the deep end :)

I am writing an application which can be used to dial, transfer etc. from the PC interface. I need to get a list of users and be able access their properties, much like the SoftConsole application has but I have no idea where to start putting it together. How can I obtain this list of users?

Any help appreciated, as basic as possible though please ;-)

Thanks

Colin

Colin,

Why dont you just use phone manager lite which is a free application or purchse phone manager pro? This sounds like what you are looking for.

Thanks aeverson, but the idea is to integrate into the current data entry system, I'll only display the features the user needs and they'll be able to contact an extension with one click, or a client with one click.

I'm aiming to pull in this list from whereever, then only selectively display certain extensions, depending on conditions such as user, department etc.

I can't find anything on this anywhere, and very little on coding for IP office in general, especially coding that doesn't assume prior knowledge of the system.

Would really, really appreciate any help.

Oh sorry,
Use the IP Office Wizard program and click on the users section and just do an export. That should give you the username and extensions of each user.

If you want a complete export of your IP Office switch open the Mananger program click FILE -> IMPORT/EXPORT -> EXPORT AS TEXT. This will create a CSV file with more information than you will know what to do with.

Hope this helps

Yeah, thanks mate, it does help. One more thing though, is there a way to programmatically get it to export. On softconsole, an extension in the list can be selected and further (real-time) information shown about that individual extension/user - whether logged on etc.

At a push I'll use the csv file, but it would be useful if I could get hold of the extra info, because then I could grey out any users who are offline.

Looks like you'll be needing the SDK for anything more realtime or indepth than a .CSV

Could I achieve this with the SDK then? If so, where would I start?

My reseller has logged a support inquiry to Avaya on this, but I haven't heard anything yet. :-(

Download CCC V5 from Avaya and install on the Delta Server Application. Once the Delta Server app is installed you will need to configure your SMDR options. Avayas support website has all the software and manuals to set you in the right path.
