Line Appearance on PRI

He wants an apperance for a number, not B channel. And the answer would be no to thebopps, line apperances are assigned to lines, not numbers.
I would wonder why you would ever want an apperance for a B channel though, I've always wondered why they assign a line ID to each channel as if you could say have a DID come in on only 1 channel?

I just needed it as a temporary fix. What happened was...when our PRI service provider ported a client's numbers to the circuit, they accidentally ported an emergency line that was supposed to be left POTS. The emergency dispatcher was used to seeing a line appearance for the emergency line. But it is all resolved now.
I figure they might use it for ringdown circuit. Only thing I've ever used seperate incoming line IDs for is a customer than had a ringdown circuit where channels 1-4 rangdown from NYC to a certain group of phones, whereas channels 5-8 rangdown from Boston to another group. Kind of superfluous in this day and age IMO, but really the only thing I could see it being used for?
