Hi, I'm setting up Least Cost Routing. The parameter description states that up to 20 digirs can be entered on the PRE setting - I seem only to be allowed 10 -- anyone know a fix.
Cheers

Hi,

This is what ALEX says:

For TAB = ENT, NLT, FDT: maximum is 20 digits for PRE

For TAB = DNT1, DNT2, PNR: maximum is 10 digits for PRE

Thanks Ficri -- So I reckon I can use the FDT table to solve my problem - I'll let you know.
Cheers

Hi,

You can also use the FDT table to point to the RODDP table.
Here it's also possible to per 20 digits and you are more flexible with customers and route choiches.
Should a problem occur with some routing, you could point to a different entry in de RODDP by changing the value in FDT.

I hope this is helpfull

Hi again -- It worked fine on the FDT table-thanks -- but there is some confusion about DNT1 and DNT2 - the manual for LCR states that you can have PRE = 8 digits on DNT2 and 16 digits on DNT1 (execptions)- I tested it out and it doesn't work! ENT is usefull, you can go back into the system. I reckon with a good knowledge of LCR an engineer could make his system DANCE!!!!!!
Cheers and thanks.

Hi,

DNT2 is used for "normal" number ranges. The DNT1 is to route the exeption number within the range of the numbers in DNT2 to another destination.

Example:
<LCDDP:TAB=DNT2;
LEAST COST DESTINATION DATA
NUMBER TABLE
ENTRY TRC PRE ACCT FRCT TOLL CBCS BTON TNS OSA
009 1 0 5 111111111111111 0

<LCDDP:TAB=DNT1;
LEAST COST DESTINATION DATA
EXCEPTIONS TABLE
ENTRY TRC PRE ACCT FRCT TOLL CBCS BTON TNS OSA
009008008 1 0 20 111111111111111 0

Here you see that the complete number range beginning with 009 is routed thru FCRT=5 except the number 009008008 which is routed thru FCRT=20

I hope this helps a litle.
