LAN/Serial Conection Meridian Option 11C

Hi,

I am a beginner in meridian PBX, and i have a question, its possible to connect the Meridian 11C PBX Console, to Ethernet console, usin for example a TyniBridge to change from Serial DB25 to RJ45 Port?

The Converter is a Tynibridge (

with V.35 Interface.

Yes, you need to get cable NT DK27AA, which plugs into the J1 slot. The connection needs to be configured 10/100 duplex, and on the PBX you need to;

LD 117 (IP,MASK)
=> new host
Usage: NEW HOST <host_name> <ip_address> <cabNo>
=> chg mask
Usage: CHG MASK <net_mask> <cabNo>
=> chg elnk active
Usage: CHG ELNK ACTIVE <host_name> <cabNo>

LD 137 (to reset the elan)
dis elnk

enl elnk

LD 17 (PTY port)

Thank you, for the commentaries, in our Option 11C PBX the J1 Slot we have connected an E1 through a Ericsson Switch.

We have 3 Console Cables Conected to SDI Slot we have in use one of 3 to the Console Terminal, i don't know if is possible to use one of these cables to connecto to our Tynibridge FE Converter.

Please let me know your coments.

I don't think you can connect with those, but cannot say for sure. I have about 10 option 11's set up the way I described to you and it works great.

Lantronix makes a Serial to IP converter. Costs about $150.00 and works fine. Just assign an IP address to the unit and plug to a serial tty and you can connect. I have used these and they work just fine.
