Knowing MySQL, need to learn about using Postgre

I am planning to install on my test bed XP Pro running Apache, PHP5 and MySQL. A Postgre DB and start learning about it.

However I would like getting some inputs on how tough/easy the MySQL to Postgre transition should be?
Does it call for a large PHP scripts rewriting
