Hi

I got asked how to join two database to SQL?

is this about inner join, outer join thing?
I thought those inner join , outer join are joinning two tables in a database, what is join two " databases"

Thanks
Chria

That's probably not an SQL problem (and this is ANSI SQL).

Most DBMS's have the ability to link or import tables from one DBMS into another but the specific methods for doing that are different for each DBMS.

You should probably ask this question in a forum for the DBMS that you are using.

BTW "... Join to SQL ..." does not compute. SQL is a data definition and manipulation language. Databases are repositories of information.

i got asked..."

another possibility is that the interviewer was trying to see how you would respond to a silly question

Or...maybe it was an SQL "Server" question?

Also as golom said, the "join" part mixed with the "database" part don't compute!
