how often are you getting this time slot problem?

Thanks ace I know its broke! Reminded me of when something goes down the first thing from everyone's is "What did you do" Makes me laugh since i'm the one who's suppose to fix it..either way, Now your scaring me with the how often? Its happens frequently but an educated guess would be 2 to three an hour. Oh Boy!

Jibberish is not far off. If you get BUG messages every minute, you worry. If you get 20 a day, you know the system is better than one that gets BUGs every minute.

Disregard those - look up BUGs until you can memorize the common ones and then when an oddball shows up, it'll get your attention

this is what we are all looking for, a clean switch. i try to address any error..

that's as 81c with almost 7000 users call pilot symposium and around 30 t1's most are pri's. when i got here that same time frame would have been 30 pages.. bugs are the least likely to cause and out of service, but when they are on disu'ed tn's, address them

Now John, you're just showing off ;).. before we know it, everyone will be posting their capture file to the group...

Hold on, lemme get mine..

Seriously though, having a clean switch is the ideal goal, as it's just plain annoying to have several pages of BUG messages handily whiz up your screen whilst you're in mid command..

Good judgement comes from experience,
which usually comes from bad judgement..

it took a while to clean this one up, when i got here they had been on a single cpu for 8 months

Oh wait a minute, posting 3AM to 6AM is a pretty sorry trick... When the clinics open or at the start of visiting hours....THATS what I want to see :)

i do get some err080's from coffee spills, and a few more that i address as they happen.. the graveyard shift is around 1100 people and traffic is slowest at the posted time, but like i said at one time that same would have went on for pages, i just buffered up to the end of the midn (2 am start) and posted it.. very few switches this size and this old are that clean. i've seen dozens that i installed that clean but i doubt they are still that way 10 years later

Makes me feel good, John. I've only been here 6 months, have a much smaller 81C, but now my switch will go several hours with only time and aud. Used to get lots of MWI going to DNs that no longer existed, VM not logged into for 2000 or 3000 days (no I didn't hit any extra zeros). Still get too many DNs going to VMX but there's no subscriber, then it goes to console. Need to work on that one.

I wouldn't know how to act if I didn't have BUGS spitting out like I do. Although I notice that since my Mermail crashed and I had to rebuild it, I dont have quite as many as I did before....HMMMM!!!

Make sure your switch is on the latest Patch Deplist

Change any analog set with XFD in CLS to XFR

If you have a tie line to another switch check DChannels and make RCAP the same and set RLS to correct level.

Check your CLS on phones, should be FBD not FBA.
FBA sends call to console if phone is busy.
