I am trying to find out if it is possible to install the Java VM (ver 1.4.2) components without installing the entire 1.4.2 jre.

We have applications here that require java the older 1.2.x jre which doesn't work correctly with thw 1.4.2 jre insatalled. From what I understand so far the jre is required for the VM components to work correctly. Is this correct?

If you have apps that don't run in 1.4, you will have to recode so they will ...
