java search applet

Anyone know of a java class or applet I could add to my intranet page that could search through file names on my server? Kinda like the windows find except this will be looking through the shared http folders on my intranet. For example I can get to a folder by type in http:\\mysite\share\foldername

I would like to be able to have the search engine go through my shared folders. These folders are not referenced on the intranet site but are accessible through http (of course authentication is in place)

Why don't you use the Search component on FrontPage?

In lieu of that, you can go to

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately the frontpage server extensions are not installed on this particular server. (long story) so trying to find an alternative.
