is there a way to place test calls across specific ports on
ISDN T's in the same fasion that you would with TIE or CO Trunks?

any assistance or ideas would be appriciated.

Thanks,
Mike

in what order will i need to hit the Fea-Acc codes?
Facility Test Call then ISDN Access Code? i am getting intrusion tones when i am trying either?

is this an ID-10-T error on my part?

Test calls on isdn trunks only work on tie trunks:
1. Put a 'verify' button on the phone
2. hit the verify button
3. put in the tac for the trunk group
4. put in the member number you want to test. If the member number is a single digit, put a 9 in front (i.e.: tac=132 member 03)

to sum up:
verify+tac+member number

Make sure your (the station) COR allows testing, but I may be wrong on that, it might be in system features.

Before placing an outgoing ISDN-PRI test call, verify that the FAC on the System Features Form has been administered as well as the Far End Test Line No and TestCall Bearer Capability Class (BCC) on the Trunk Group Administration Form.
Furthermore, if the ISDN-PRI trunk is of the "cbc" (call
by call) service type, then the Testcall Service field on Trunk Group Administration Form must have been administered also.

To initiate an outgoing ISDN-PRI test call in the asynchronous method, issue the following command:
test isdn-testcall <grp>/<mbr> [minutes]

This command enables you to specify a specific trunk on which to originate the ISDN-PRI test call. Plan your work............Work your plan

The Far End Test Line No. is this provided by the Carrier or can this be a number to another Switch at a remote location?

thanks,

Before attempting to make an ISDN-PRI test call to the public network (that is, the network is the far-end), make sure that test call service is provisioned by the network.

You must subscribe to Test Type 108 service and have
the correct far-end test call number administered on the trunk group form for the call to be allowed.

Good luck Plan your work............Work your plan

Brandaris:

You stated that you must subscribe to Test Type 108 service. Who do you subscribe to? The LEC providing the circuit, Avaya, ext!

Thanks for exposing new light to an "old rat in the barn"!!!
