Comming to the Merlin Magix and messaging is new to us, and I need to get it setup similar to what we had before.

The scenario...
1 Company..
toll free lines and local lines each get there own AA
toll free goes to sales and Customer service
Local goes to tech support and general offices.

AA is set up and working just fine, Closed message works fine when we are closed.
Problem I am having is that now all departments works as much as the others, so I have tu turn off their que (customer service = 773)
But unlike my old system, I cannot find a place to do this. I can either have the whole company open..or the whole company closed.
Any thoughts or suggestions on shutting off 1 que to a closed message?

Thanks in advance!
Rob

Yep, at the front end of the queue, have an autoattendant, even if it has no purpose other than to catch the call, and transfer it into the queue. At night, set the night autoattendant to do something different, (like go into a general mailbox). This way, you can control the call flow into a queue.

Thanks for the response.
I think I have done as you suggested, and that is set up this que (773) to go to AA #4, this works great and has the message saying we are closed when we are closed. But, I how do I set AA #4 daytime to just transfer over to my customer service que? It is looking for a greeting so customers can press numbers, but the greeting is actually done on AA #2. Can #4 be used to just transfer the calls to my cust serv que (773) and then say we are closed after customer service leaves?
Have I confused anyone yet?

Thanks!
Rob

Use the dial 0 / timeout action (nothing pressed), and record a greeting: "Thanks for calling, your call is being routed to the next available representative". Nothing is pressed, and the Dial 0 timeout transfers to the queue.
