Is there a limit - Session Variables 1

Is there a limit on the number of active (ie holding data) session variables on can have at any one time?

All my session variables contain 3 digit numbers (1-999)

Since session stores are serialized and written to files on the server's hard drive between uses, the only practical limit I can think of is the size of the serial file imposed by your server's filesystem or the amount of memory available to the server.

I my own scripts, I have use session variables for shopping carts that did, in testing, hold hundreds of items with 4 or 5 pieces of information on each.
