I know I'm gonna make myself look like a rookie. And I'm probably gonna get a "RTFM" too. But I'm in a rush and the IP office manual just doesnt lay out the steps for this.

I know you have to create a phantom user, a phantom hunt group, and a short code etc etc. Could someone please lay out the steps for me to get just basic AA functionality? I can figure out the rest from there. I think. I know I'm just missing a couple things or configuring some things wrong somewhere but I'm not sure where I'm making the error or what I'm skipping over.

Thank you, any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Personally, I create

Auto Attendant No. 1, menuDay
Auto Attendant No. 2, menuNight
Shortcode *601, Auto Attendant, AA:meuuDay
Shortcode *602, Auto Attendant, AA:menuNight
User 601, Day AA, Forward Unconditional to *601, including Hunt Group Calls
User 602, Night AA, Forward Unconditional to *602, including Hunt Group Calls
Hunt Group 201, AA Day, Sequential, only member is 601 Day AA
Hunt Group 202, AA Night, Sequential, only member is 602 Night AA

In Hunt Group 200, Main, overflow is group AA Day, after 20 seconds, and the Out of Service Fallback group is AA Night.

Put a Set Hunt Group Out of Service-200 button on the main phone to toggle "Day with delayed Day Auto Attendant" and "Night with Immediate Night Auto Attendant"

Thanks for the help, and the link as well! Our shop is switching from NEC to IP office and I'm the only tech with any IP office experience. But it was early in my career and it was mostly installing systems that were preprgrammed. Being the only tech with IPO experience at the shop, they're looking to me to be the go-to dude until we get a couple of us certified. I don't want to let them down.

Something to bear in mind when doing this is you lose the use of the timeout option, because Avaya made the timeout follow the fallback destination in Incoming Call Route, so of it isn't targeted directly it has no timeout destination :)
