IP400 Digital Station not working after update of IP406

I upgraded my IP406 and Voicemail to 4.2.20. I have things working now... but... I have an IP400 Digital Station that if I plug the phone into it... it will not work. I plug the phone into the IP4000 in the 8 ports at the front... it works great... Any ideas?

Did you upgrade the firmware on the DS expansion unit *correctly*?

Waht was the previous version?

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.

1. how do I upgrade the DS expansion unit?

2. Not working correctly = "None of the phone plugged into the DS expansion unit work." The 5410D phones just show "Please wait".

3. I upgraded by going into the Avaya Manager and from File/Advanced/Upgrade. My old version was 3.69 and the new verion is 4.2.20

The handsets also need upgrading, that's the issue you have. Make sure the systems TFTP server address is pointing at the PC running Manager also make sure Manager is open and there is no firewall/AV running on the PC

You need to upgrade DS module to 3.2.99 1st.

Also as NYSTECH says, step through 3.2.999 first or you will get DTMF issues at some point
