I am setting up a Test server that has three NICs in it:

NIC IP SM GW
Card 1 172.21.10.100 255.255.0.0 172.21.0.1
Card 2 172.21.10.101 255.255.0.0 172.21.0.1
Card 3 192.9.200.1 255.255.255.0 192.9.200.1

Now under NT4 if I wanted to route accross the NICs I would tick the IP forwarding option in TCP/IP.

In WIN2k I have to hack the registry, this I have done but I cannot get a client with IP address 192.9.200.2 to ping a server 172.21.10.1

What else do I need to do ?

ARRRRGH!!!

So much for bring a NT 4 MCSE that took a TCP/IP exam!

The server I was trying to ping had it's Default gateway pointing to the router not the Win2K server.

All works fine now

Thankyou for your help
