Good day. Bear with me for a moment I am still fairly green with all of this. I am running Win 2k server, with xp workstations.

I had to replace a computer yesterday with an old one that had the name of a current user on the network. (I'll call that 'A'), I renamed, reconfigured, etc, on the old one so there would be no conflicts. Today when User 'B'(the newer computer with the same logon as 'A' used to have) tried to log on i get error of 'no domain controller ...'
I looked at DNS, & DHCP and cleared out leases, but I know i am missing something else to clear this up. Any thoughts would be helpful.

did you do 'ipconfig /release_all' and then ipconfig /renew_all ??

what happens??
