I have a Legend switch R7. I have an R4.4 Intuity Audix that I spent a lot of time programming. The problem is that when the auto-attendant answers and then transfers to an extension....the default message plays but the Intuity doesn't hang up.
Even on the system monitor it shows that it is adding. I set the ports to DNIS and to AUDIX and the same results happen.

Another thing I should add is that it shows "collecting" in the system monitor after I leave a message and it lights the message waiting light. Is this all normal? I thought it should return to showing "on hook" in the system monitor.

You lost me just a little bit. But let me tell you something about VM and AA that may guide you to an answer: If the telco does NOT provide disconnnect supervision, then the timeout for a call will be dictated by the voicemail box's parms that say "hey, whadda we do if we don't get a keypress from the guy and he just hangs up instead?"

The short version of my answer is "make sure that if you have loop-start analog trunks that your carrier provides disconnect supervision".

A simpler answer is to ask you to go to the console and drill down the following path: Sys Program, Start, LinesTrunks, TT/LS Disc, LS Disconnect. The prompt at this point will read, "LS Reliable Disconnect". If I had to guess, I'd say that the word "Yes" is highlighted in red. If that's true, then please touch the F2 key to select No, then F10 to make your selection stick.

Post back if you encounter anything that doesn't square with my suggestions or otherwise seems odd, funny or worth mentioning.
