Does the Intuity Audix recognizes the incoming ANI digits from the service provider and plays it with the message received in the mailbox as it does for an internal caller.

And how can that be prog. to show the incoming ani in the message manager.

need help............

You will need to have the green feature activated in the Intuity Audix. Once activated you will need to reboot the system then ANI will be collected.

Ash,

The feature for Calling Party Number in the Intuity AUDIX is a green feature, Special Application (SA8056). The Intuity must be release 4.3 or greater and the Definity must be release 5 or greater. The material code is 108090853 which can only be ordered through a 1011 form from the Rapid Response Group and the material code is non discountable.

As the feature states, it is calling party number. You will not get calling party name from external calls outside the PBX coming in over ISDN-PRI caller-id type services.

But, I don't think this will work for you. This will only collect and save CPN information with a message. Instead of saying "voice call received..." it'll say "voice call from 202-555-1212...".

I don't know of a voice mail feature that directs a call to a specific announcement. This is something better handled by Vectoring in the PBX. Just my opinion.

Hope this helps. WHCARon

Does anyone have a ballpark figure for how much it would cost to activate this feature?

CPN to Intuity may already be available on your system. Look at page 2 of your Audix Hunt Group form. James Middleton

Ash,

As of April 2000, the cost was $2,575 (plus $275 instalaltion). Being a green-feature means that it's already developed and probably loaded on the Intuity. The cost is just to turn it on, not to develop it.

Also, having the option "Send CPN to Audix" marked yes is only half the battle. You'll still need the Intuity green feature. You've got to contact Avaya to get this priced & ordered.

Thanks, WHCARon

Does "Definity Audix" has the same capabilty ?

Thanks

Today i began the exact same quest.... I have searched High and low for and answer. while doing a mass search on the web i ran across this forum.
