We are a hospital I have Microsoft Unified Messaging setup on our exchange server - I am a power user, I want to have only IT on the Microsoft Unified Messaging and everyone else on VM Pro is this possible? I like the MS voicemail better than the Avaya VM Pro.

Yes, just don't give user licenses to the ones that don't need it (ie, don't enable UMS on their voicemail tab). Seems like a waste though. The UMS with voicemail pro is pretty worthless. It really only just turns on/off your phones light, and gives you a wav player in outlook. It's more of a hassle than anything.

I've tried that all I want is the Microsoft voicemail for IT and regular ipo vm pro for everyone else

Well it's not really *microsoft voicemail* if you're doing UMS, it's simply the store for voicemails.
Guess if you can just talk to exchange UMS via sip, then sure, why not.
