I do a lot of queries (off a db2 data). My database container is littered with many queries...I am interested in using a good naming convention for queries. I would love to hear what some of you handle your queries.
I use the old standard of
[tt]
Prefix Type
====== =======
qsel Select
qupd Update
qmak Make Table
qdel Delete
qapp Append
qxtb Crosstab
qcar Cartesian
qgrp Group By
qtot Group By with Totals
[/tt]
For documentation, I open the properties and use the description. This allows me to enter lots of text for grouping the queries.

If you haven't already, try searching the Forum for naming conventions.
When I first learned Access, I thought I was really clever by naming my queries with Q:, tables with T:, and reports with R:.
I had no idea there was already a naming convention in place. It, of course, was way better than mine.
Good luck!
