We have a client looking to integrate information from an outside manufacturing systems with GP Manufacturing Order Processing and Bill of Materials. Integration Manager has no hooks to Manufacturing, and neither does eConnect.

The data looking to integrate will be MSSQL based. What would be the best way to bring this information into Great Plains?

I used Table Import (old import utility before Integration Manager) to load Bills of Materials, Machine Codes, Routings etc. from a comma delimited text file. You need to identify the tables that you need to load data into though.

Right now the only way to bring data to MOP and BOM is Table Import or DTS in MSSQL.

Good news is GP promised to include Manufacturing in IM for ver9.0. Just don't expect too much because sometimes they can't deliver.

You can use a macro

Step 1 - Record macro manually entering appropriate data
Step 2 - Use MS Word Mail Merge with recorded macro and appropriate data source to create a really long macro

Try this on a test company first
