I downloaded the ieak6 (resource kit) for explorer 6 to create a package to deploy out our users in the company. I downloaded it to a local folder, selected corporate license, selected default location, forced to leave authenticated synchronization selected, chose the flat platform, and was not allowed past stage 2 of the packet creation. During stage 2 your computer is scanned to see if you need any downloaded components. My computer comes up with a yellow circle telling me that it needs to download more items, but it waits for about ten minutes and then nothing. It tells me that it can't continue. This was the packet that I was going to create to put into SMS. Is there a better way to create this packet? What am I doing wrong? Please give me some direction in what step to take or some resources to go and read.

Thanks

To use the IEAK you must download the latest components at least once.
If it is hanging whilst downloading, go into Internet Explorer,Tools, Internet Options, Advanced.
Find the HTTP 1.1 settings section and change the tick boxes (Sorry I have forgotton what they should be, but there's only 2 choices).
Now try the IEAK download again.
