I am in the process of installing Win 98 onto an old dell latitude laptop.

I can get it going then setup says that I have a Win NT Partition which it won't use?

I have tried fdisk from the boot disk but it won't let me delete anything, extended can't unless primary is but primary can't because of extended!!!

Any ideas, I've never had this!

Dan

I have seen this a few times, try from fdisk to remove nondos partitions. If that dose not work use delpart MS had this on thier web site just for that problem. Try a web search for it, if you can not find it I can email it to you.

Or use a DOS 6.22 fdisk , it seems to handle some issues better than the 7s. Ed Fair
