I am running nsm 3.1 on a windows box. Maybe I am dumb but just can't figure out the correct syntax to use the INQOPER keyword in a message action. I have tried all kinds of combinations of test actions, return codes etc but can't figure always get a RC of 0 from this function.

For example say you have a held message of (15) TEST1
According to the documenation the INQOPER action with a text of * TEST1 should return a RC >0. but it doesn't. Neither does *, * TEST1 * or a single letter (eg E )

try this:
- the message in held area must be WAITOPER type (i.e. TEST1)
- create new message with following action:
10 INQOPER in text field write the message present in held area without the ID (i.e. only "TEST1")
20 (true condition) rc >0
30 (false condition) rc <= 0

Let me know if it is clear
