Hi,

I am trying to create a paragraph style for a catalog. I need to apply different character styles to a lengthy blocks of text (and I'm hoping the paragraph style would help me do that in a click). So I have three char styles that I want to use (1) title (2) body (3) italicized notes. I thought it would easy enough, but it doesn't apply properly...I'm kind of stuck...

Any ideas or tips?
THANKS!!!

Each entry must have the same amount of words etc:

This is the Title (shift+return {forced line break})
This is the Body (shift+return {forced line break})
This is the Notes

This way they are all considered to be part of the same line.

Then you set you nested style to take the character style 1 through to 4 words then another character style, etc.

Or you could apply paragraphs in word or Excel to the text before bringing them into indesign then map them to the para style in InDesign.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I was trying something similar...but i wasn't using the forced breaks throughout, so this really helped, thanks!!!!
