iCal events dissapeared!

I use an apple and the iCal calendar. The other day, all my calendar events dissapeared! I did not delete them.

Also, all my firefox bookmarks dissapeared as well.


What's going on? Can I get this stuff back?

Are you connecting to an Exchange server or something similar? OR syncronising with anything?

sounds like a cache file went south - try a permission fix for starters. Disk utility can be found in Applications - Utilities - Disk Utility - choose Repair Permissions.

You can also try to move all of the files in ~/Library/Preferences/ApplicationsSupport and delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.ical.plist, doubelclick iCal and all of your events should be back.

Happened to me as well. I sync with exchange server and on two occassions I lost everything including the one on dot mac. I had backed up the night before. So I do an export once a week to make sure. Never did figure out why.
