I have started using the Mitel 6940 phones. The phones work well however a number of the setup options on the UI disappear after the phone has been on the network for a while. Why is this happening, and what do I need to do to fix it.

I would appreciate any assistance.

COS Option - Enable Device Configuration

help files said:
For 69xx IP phones, enter 0 to disable Language, Voicemail, Call Forward, Config Teleworker, WiFi, Bluetooth, and Reset settings in the Settings menu. This also disables the long key press functionality. Or, enter the length of time (range 1 to 5 seconds) for which a programmable key (PK) must be held down to launch the key programming application.

For 53xx IP phones, enter 0 to disable the long key press functionality. Or, enter the length of time (range 1 to 5 seconds) a programmable key (PK) or the Settings must be held down to launch the Superkey menu on 53xx phones.

Also applies to the activation/deactivation of Call Screening from a secretarial station.

For more information, see Long Key Press.
