I have seen IP address notation a couple ways example

192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0
AND
192.168.10.0/24

I understand the first one and understand the second as long as it is /24 but what if I have

192.168.10.209 255.255.255.192 what would be the

192.168.10.209/??

Convert the mask, 255.255.255.192 in to binary and then look at the number of bits for the network and you should find that it's a /26.

Chris.

You can also find cheat sheets available for download on the internet that will show you / notation, bits and useful things such as the maximum number of hosts at a glance.

You can also find several good IP calculators which help in the process
