I have designed for a password to be entered in a particular form. How do I, when typing in the password, not have the actual typed characters displayed but only a STAR representing each typed character. I would appreciate your advise.

Hi:

If your control is bound to a field of the underlying table or query, open the table in design view and select "Password" as the input mask for the field.

I hope this is helpful.
