can anyone that is smarter than I am (which are a great many ) tell me why I am getting a runtime error 13 type mismatch with this line:

SaveSetting "Quiz-IT", Q.Caption \ generetext.Caption \ difftext.Caption, LQ.Caption, Question.Text

FYI That is actually all one line in VB

Please read and reply hopefully with help. I am begging you!! Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Ryan

Ok, I personally don't know what that does, and I don't have my help files on this comp ;)...But I tried this -

SaveSetting "Project1", generetext.Caption, difftext.Caption, LQ.Caption

and it worked, what are the slashes in there for? Rob

Well the slashes create a sub folder in the registry. I want to make a folder tree in the reg and have the folders names be the captions. I already tried using slashes and it does make sub folders but just not with those captions though.
