This is the wierd situation:

1. When I click on the link to the website, I.E. immediately displays the login screen. After I enter my user name and password, the system slowly grinds to a halt and after a few minutes I receive the message, "I.E. Cannot display this ..." That's all it does.

2. When my friend, clicks on the same link using my computer he receives the login screen, puts in his name and password and immediately gains access to the site.

Now the odd part,

3. If I use my notebook computer I am able to access the website without any problems. This tells me that my user name and password are recognizable at the site.

Any ideas out there?

Chet

Thanks Tony,

I did delete all of the cookies, cache, and temp files; nothing worked using the Internet Options function.

I think I will give up; "No sense in beating a dead horse."

Problem solved!

It seems that my McAfee product is registered under my old e-mail account user name. A few weeks ago I changed to another provider and for unknown (to me!) reasons this confused the Internet checking routine in McAfee causing my I.E. to "time out."

I uninstalled, then reinstalled, McAfee and now I can access the link.
