I have created a hunt group and I would like to have calls that come in on personal exts roll to this hunt group. This works just fine if they are logged in and answer the first call, but my problem is that the call only goes to one person in the hunt; whoever is logged in, if calls goes to 1 person in the hunt and they don't answer it goes back to the orginal persons Voicemail.... I would like for it to hunt until someone answers. How can I set this up......I hope that I didn't confuse anyone. I have everyone logging in so if someone is away from desk they put it in aux; so it goes to the next avail person.

Thanks for your help........you guys never failed me yet.....Much appreciation for your wisdom.

What system do you have?
Do you have EAS enabled?
What about making their personal extension their agent Login ID (Replace their current extension with a Non-DID and turn the extension into an Agent Login ID). That way all calls would come into the same queue regardless if the call came in through a DID or through the main number. Do these agents have Voicemail? That could add some complexity... It doesn't sound like they do from your original post but just thought I would check.

I have G3 V12........I don't have Eas enabled
We just Have BCMS.
Changing there ext would not work; because these are clients that have there personal exts calling them.

They all have voicemail and we have Octel 250

This sounds like you are using a ACD type hunt group which is fine. The only drawback is someone has to be logged in, or you get a busy signal. That is why the call is going back to the original extension. This may be made a little easier by seting this up as a coverage path instead. Then you can have the calls roll to 6 places before it goes to Voicemail as the last point. If this person is gone, she hits SAC and her calls go to the first point of cover and rolls on down the line.

Hope this helps.

if its an acd group you could use rona to send the call back to the queue. If you add an extra vdn that queues to the same hunt you can even give the call a higher priority to make sure that call gets answers first after rona.

the rona vdn is filled in on the second page of the huntgroup.

Thanks guys.......I will see what is best....I will try them both out today and let you know what works better.
