I'm maintaining an intranet-site with a HTML-editor (VB-object). The user write his text in a sort of textarea and the HTML-editor convert this text to text with all the HTML is written for IE 4.0 and that is goes wrong with IE > 4.0

So I need help to find an HTML-editor that will work with IE 5.5
I also heard someting about an HTML-edit function in IE 5.5 tags. With buttons you can make text bold, underline etc. The only thing I know (very less documentation) is that it but I don't know anythinng about that.

Who can help me?

Erik

I use Homesite for coding and Dreamweaver for visual editing.

They work well together in complementing each other's strengths and filling productivity gaps.

You can find trial versions on the Allaire (Homesite) and Macromedia websites.

If you are using Dreamweaver UltraDeve, there is an INCREDIBLE extension that allows for full HTML editing by the user.

It is like a pop-up HTML editor instead of a textarea. Only works in IE 5+ but with the demise of Netscape now, it will become easier to incorporate these sort of things.

To see it in action, got to You may have to create an account to be able to post a message in the forum, but that is one place it is implemented. Steve Davis
