HI All...iam trying to transfer files through the Telnet program but i cant find the command for it ...so please if you can tell me if it could be done in somehow !!?
or if it couldn't be done with Telnet ..is there any other way to transfer files between 2 PC's with out emailing and chating programs !!

If iam using Window Xp , there is no FTP Clint ..do u kow how to do it by Windows XP ...with out downloading any Ftp clints ?!

bing up the command prompt and type ftp.

failing that - bring up internet explorer and set the url to:

ftp://<ip_address_of_linux_box> - provided you allow anonymous access. If access is via usernames, then type:

ftp://<username>@<ip_address_of_linux_box> and it should prompt you for a password.

simple you can't

Under xp go to 'run' then type cmd <enter>

from there type ftp <ip address>

if you want a ftp client " has a free version of a ftp client compatible w/ XP

I.E. is an ftp client

in the url type
ftp://ftp.address.
:)

Or you can download ftp-explorer or cute-ftp.

XP does have a command line based FTP client, IE has a simple FTP client.

If you want a free one, download FileZilla from sourceforge.
