I want to create one line of text that runs across every page of a book---is there an easy way to do this or do I have to thread text boxes from one page to the next---I'd also like to do this with an image

Well, this tells me how to create the same text to appear on every page but I don't see how to string a story across all the pages. Each page would have a different line of text--but I want them to appear like a ticker tape to be running across the bottom. Isn't there some way of creating a box that runs across all the pages that I can put text into and later justify so that the words are evenly spaced from one page to the next--appearing continuous?

You can create a master text box in the position and size you want it, running along the bottom of the master pages. Return to your first page and "Place" the text from your text file. Then rearrange spacing if it needs it.

How about putting your text line together with automatic page numbering boxes?

I put page number boxes at the top of every page in my book, added color background, and put the title of the book within the text box beside the page number. Again, it is a master page problem or a text box that is easily manually duplicated to each new page lay-out with copy and paste.
