How Synchronize Outlook

How do I synchronize MS Outlook 2000 between my desktop and notebook?

I have Outlook 2000. I can synchronize between my PalmPilot and desktop, but how do I synchronize between my desktop and notebook -- short of continually making a copy of the *.pst file on the desktop and copying it to the notebook?

Thanks for any input.
