How do I stop the automatic Friday scan?

A Friday night scan is not the best time for me, but Thursday is so I went into the scheduler from Norton (which initially showed no tasks) and created a task to run on Thursday night. This works fine, unfortunately, it STILL wants to perform a scan on Friday and I can't seem to find out what triggers this task.

How can I stop this task?

I'm using Windows XP Pro (with SP2) and Norton System Works Pro 2004.

Thank you!

Craig B.

I'm not familiar with the System Works interface, but I'm sure that if you get into the Antivirus program you'll find a selection for scheduled scans. This would be separate from the Norton Scheduler.

In the Antivirus area is where I setup the scheduler to scan every Thursday (there's both a "schedule" icon and a scheduling link at the bottom, but they both go to the same screen). There weren't any other task entries listed, including the one that keeps starting every Friday.

Ok, I just found where the task scheduler is in the Control Panel and it did have two entries (I guess the Friday one is created automatically, but not shown from within Norton - not very intuitive).
