Is there a way for the Avaya Partner ACS R8 play a message every 5 seconds to callers over the hold music, and have it activate an Auto Attendant? For example, the callers might hear "Thanks for calling Company 123. Thanks for holding. For hours, store location, and more, please press 2 now!" and then route them to an auto attendant when "2" is pressed?
If the above isn't possible, could we just play a message that is recordable through the Avaya Partner administration?

Thanks,
Sam

(We currently have the messages recorded on a MP3 playin through the "Music On Hold" port, but it's a hassle to update messages...)

No, and No.

You could get an ASA/DXD card, and use the Auto System Answer function. This would answer after a preset number of rings, play a short (10 second) message, and place the call on hold. You have the option of having the call continue to ring on the telephone sets, even though the call has been answered and is holding, or the ringing stop, and the line show holding with the Hold Recall Timer notifying Ext. 10 of the waiting call. This, however, will not allow the call to breakout of the hold condition
