Looks like it. But, ultimately, I think Hollywood will make the choice for all -- it has content to deliver.
 
Yes, and it is interesting to see how the manufacturers are courting and buying the Hollywood interests.

My suspicion is that Blu-Ray will win out. You've already got some industry backing on it and it is after all a Sony product.

Yeah, Sony is notorious for proprietary formats. Their expensive memory stick is another example, and is one reason many would not buy a Sony digicam.
