Historical "Snapshots" for Trend Reports?

Hi team. I'm new to Biz Objects, so this may be an easy (that is, stupid) question. If so, sorry!

I'm working with a marketing database that tracks the status of contacts. That is, are they "prospects", "current clients", etc. The database does not track history. When a contact is moved from "prospect" to "current client", the record is simply updated.

My reporting requirement is to include trend data... how many people were classified "prospects" in April compared to the number of prospects in May.

Does Biz Objects have a cache function where I can store snapshots of data. I would like to avoid adding history tables in the database if I could?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Business Objects does not do this directly. However, you really should look at the Application Foundation along with Set Analyzer. It does EXACTLY what you are looking for.
