Highlighting Date field

Good Morning,
We are use CR 8.5 and have a date field which is stored as date/time.

We'd like to highlight in red, any date which is prior to a specific date, 1/1/2000 for example.

The Highlight Export works for currency and numbers, but doesn't appear as an option on date/time fields but not dates.

Is there a way to do this via a formula, and if there is could someone help me out?

You can format the field itself, and set a conditional formula for Back Color. Right click on the field > Format Field > Border tab > click the [x+2] button next to Background > enter this formula:

If CurrentFieldValue < Date(2000,1,1) Then
crRed
Else
crWhite
